Opti-myst ®
Light and water mist can be enough to see “flames”. All Dimplex chimneys with Opti-myst ® technology are equipped with a water tank under the bed of embers, from which a nebuliser (transducer) produces water mist. With the help of lamps behind the water tank, the air that transports the mist upwards is heated. The rising water mist is distributed over the bed of embers and reflects the LED or halogen light. This creates a lively, flickering image of fire, like a real play of flames. This means that a dark back wall is not necessary and the three-dimensional one
Opti-myst ® flame effect is visible from all sides. The flames also react naturally and move with the draft. If you were to reach into the flames of the mist, the flames would encircle your hand; the height of the flames is adjustable and absolutely safe. The water mist produced also contributes to good room humidity and does not contain any fine dust.
