Schmid Ekko G U 45 Gas Fireplace
Closed Schmid gas fireplace inserts
New technologies that inspire
The Schmid brand is not the first on the market, but Camina & Schmid Feuerdesign und Technik is the first company to develop a gas fireplace insert from its own vision. A product that offers the user comfort and atmosphere, but also a product that is easy to install, operate and maintain.
Schmid used the latest technology in burner control for this purpose. Because Schmid has developed its own burner system and equipped the device with the best technological properties, it was possible for them to bring a product onto the market that can keep up with all the major brands. To improve the effect in a low capacity setting, Schmid uses metal fibers in the wooden logs for a realistic glowing effect. There is no service door; everything is built into the main body for ease of installation methods. There is easy access to the control for maintenance and servicing, so that in the event of a technical inspection, a major part of the decoration can remain on the burner cover. To give the design maximum freedom, all trim strips are removable. The same tools are used for the chimney connection to the chimney as for the individual chimney parts, which ensure an airtight connection. The system uses a special soft start mode including two pressure relief valves for maximum safety.
The interior can be flexibly equipped. When introducing the gas appliances, Schmid has so far offered two versions in steel and black glass. The device can also be equipped with LED ambient lighting, which creates a breathtaking light effect under the burning logs. This module has three different programs, which make it possible to use the fireplace insert not only with heat output, but also as a pure glowing eye-catcher. This means that the gas fireplace insert can be used all year round.

“Fire at the push of a button, that immediately inspired me! Control everything easily by remote control."
Adjustable functions
The fire can be set in eight stages. These eight levels remain constant in their respective flame height and achieve a uniform flame image.
ECO function
There is also a ninth level - the ECO setting. During the program, the device varies the previous flame height levels. This creates a moving flame image and uses less energy.
Temperature control
With a temperature sensor integrated in the remote control, the room temperature can be automatically controlled according to your requirements through the heat supply in the device.
Security
The display remote control of our gas fireplace inserts not only enables operation from the sofa, but also functions as a security element.
Monitoring the flame
The flame is continuously monitored electronically so that our products give you security and a good feeling.
Securing the controller
In addition, the remote control and the gas control are in constant contact. If the connection to the remote control is interrupted (e.g. due to empty batteries or the remote control is out of range) the control is secured.
Temperature control
There are additional sensors in the remote control, in the control and on the electronics of the device. These permanently monitor the ambient temperature - in the event of temperature differences
the device turns off securely here.
Influence of external conditions
If external conditions cause a malfunction in the device, various safety measures ensure that the device is switched off in a controlled manner. In the event of a power failure, two springs in the solenoid valve ensure that the gas supply is shut off immediately. If the gas pressure fluctuates, the gas supply is immediately stopped by the gas control valve.
Important note: The connection of a gas fireplace may ONLY be carried out by a specialist company!
Gas chimneys by Camina & Schmid may ONLY be installed with the LAS flue gas system by Camina & Schmid; otherwise they are not certified and will not be approved.
The price list of the flue gas pipes can be found here: LAS by Camina & Schmid
We also gladly make you a complete offer including the required pipes; For this we need information about the planned execution with altitude information.
